FAQ

What is Trubuild TCSR-555 used for?

Trubuild TCSR-555 is a high-strength, non-shrink epoxy repair mortar used for structural repairs of damaged or deteriorated concrete surfaces in buildings, bridges, pavements, and other concrete structures.

What makes Trubuild TCSR-555 suitable for structural repairs?

The epoxy resin binder in Trubuild TCSR-555 imparts excellent adhesion to concrete substrates, high mechanical strength, and resistance to impact, abrasion, and chemical attack, making it ideal for durable structural repairs.

How does Trubuild TCSR-555 compare to conventional cement repair mortars?

Compared to cementitious repair mortars, epoxy-based systems like Trubuild TCSR-555 offer superior bonding, faster strength development, improved resistance to aggressive environments, and minimal shrinkage, leading to more reliable structural repairs.

What are the key features of Trubuild TCSR-555 as a concrete repair epoxy?

Trubuild TCSR-555 is a two-component, low-viscosity, free-flowing epoxy grout designed for structural concrete repairs and grouting applications. It provides excellent adhesion to concrete, high compressive and mechanical strength, low shrinkage, and outstanding resistance to impact, chemicals, and abrasion, ensuring durable and long-lasting repairs.

How is Trubuild TCSR-555 applied for concrete repairs?

The two components of Trubuild TCSR-555 are mixed as per the recommended ratio and applied to the prepared concrete surface using a trowel or spatula, filling the repair area to the required thickness.

What surface preparation is required before applying Trubuild TCSR-555?

The concrete substrate must be sound, clean and free from dust, laitance, oil, grease, or other contaminants. Mechanical surface preparation methods like grinding or sand blasting are recommended for optimal adhesion.

How long does Trubuild TCSR-555 take to cure?

Trubuild TCSR-555 typically hardens within 12–15 hours under normal conditions and achieves full curing in approximately 24 hours. Curing time may vary depending on the ambient temperature and site conditions. Allow the material to cure completely before putting the repaired area into service.

Can Trubuild TCSR-555 be used for repairing cracks in concrete?

Yes, Trubuild TCSR-555 is suitable for filling and repairing static cracks and voids in concrete. For dynamic cracks, it is recommended to use a flexible epoxy injection system first.

What is the application thickness range of Trubuild TCSR-555?

Yes, Trubuild TCSR-555 is designed for structural concrete repairs, including filling voids, cavities, and damaged sections where high strength and durable bonding are required. For best results, prepare the substrate properly and follow the application guidelines provided in the Technical Data Sheet. SBR-333

Is Trubuild TCSR-555 suitable for repairs in industrial environments?
